Car clicks, no start after sitting two days — battery or starter?

Lights work dimly, single click, no crank. Jump works once then dies again. Parasitic draw? Bad battery? Alternator? What should I test first at home?

Order: (1) load-test battery, (2) clean terminals, (3) test alternator charging ~13.8–14.7V running, (4) if battery/alternator OK, parasitic draw test with multimeter. Click + dim lights often = weak battery or bad ground. Starters usually free-spin or grind, not one sad click forever.

Failed load test. New battery fixed it. I almost bought a starter for no reason.

Jump in — 10 seconds is enough
