Sweet smell + low coolant, no visible leak under the car

Cabin sometimes smells sweet after long drives. Level drops every few weeks. Heater core? Water pump weep? Head gasket paranoia? What did you check first?

Sweet cabin smell = often heater core. Check passenger footwell dampness/foggy windows. Pressure-test the system; UV dye helps. White exhaust smoke + mayo on oil cap = different (head) problem — don’t ignore that combo.

Pressure test found a tiny hose seep at the firewall. $40 hose, not a head gasket. Test first.
